Germantown International (Goodman Fielder)

This building was designed as the new U.S. Headquarters for Germantown International, a subsidiary of Goodman Fielder, an international food ingredients company based in Australia. The
Germantown division manufactures emulsifiers and stabilizers used in the food and dairy industries worldwide. The Client wished to create a new facility which would provide long term sustainability and efficient operations. The design reflects a simple, economical and durable building architecture, with an emphasis on quality building systems allowing for future expansion.


  • Phase I consisted of 110,000 SF, while the building and systems were master planned for ultimate expansion to 175,000 SF. The program includes 30,000 SF corporate offices, 15,000 SF customer presentation, pilot plants and R&D labs, 45,000 SF high-bay warehousing and manufacturing, and 3,500 SF multi-level manufacturing tower.
